Not a kit with “Colonel Mustard.” The bandleader who owes eleven pounds.
Shop kits give you strangers to play. This one gives your friends themselves, slightly worse.
“Dev's 40th, 1920s supper club, 8 of us. Dev must be a suspect not the victim. Sam cannot keep a straight face. Priya will try to solve it in ten minutes; she once won Monopoly by hiding money under the board. Marcus says ‘let me finish’. Lena is shy, small part. Tom is happy to be the villain. Dev still hasn't finished the kitchen he started in 2023.”
“Death at the Marigold Supper Club”: Dev is the inspector who arrived suspiciously fast (he was in the kitchen, fixing the plumbing he started in 1923). Sam is the comic hiding in the stationery cupboard. Priya is the sister counting the takings. Marcus has a monologue. Lena sees everything. Tom's sealed card says IT WAS YOU. Three clues, one vote, the solution read aloud.
Sample: Dev, Anika and their friends are made up. Every real mystery is written only from the facts the host sends.

Questions
How many players?
Six to twelve. Every player is a suspect with their own sheet; the victim is never a guest. Tell us who must be the murderer, who must not be, and who wants a small part; we write around them.
How long does it take to play?
About two to two and a half hours over three courses: introductions and alibis with the starter, clues with the main, sealed cards and the accusation with pudding. The host guide has the timings; the host plays too.
Is it really about my guests?
Yes. Each character is built from the two or three facts you give us about that guest: the running joke, the catchphrase, the time they got locked in a cupboard. We never add a real fact you did not give us, and anything you ask us to avoid stays out. Guests see only their own sheet until the end.
